Course Overview

This play-based course introduces children to Emirati family traditions, the value of responsibility, and cultural bonds with animals like camels. Using the story of “Aisha and the Desert Camel,” children will engage in storytelling, creative activities, and interactive games to explore their own family stories and traditions.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  1. Retell the story of Aisha and Zayed, demonstrating comprehension and sequencing skills.
  2. Identify key Emirati family values such as kindness, responsibility, and respect for nature.
  3. Share their own family traditions through storytelling and art.
  4. Recognize the importance of camels in Emirati culture.
Materials Required:
  • Printable character cutouts: Aisha, Zayed, and family members.
  • A UAE map to discuss the desert environment and oases.
  • Art supplies: paper, crayons, markers, and glue.
  • Small bowls for a sensory activity (sand, water, dates).
  • Toy camels or animal figurines for role-playing.
